Suspend & Restart

Suspending a VM takes a snapshot of the disk and while freeing the compute resource. This means that you are able to, at any moment, pause your work and resume it at a later point.

Billing

A suspended machine is not billed for its compute. However, the archived disk will be charged based on usage.

Once an instance is Suspended, you will then be able to Resume it. This will create a new VM and load the existing disk into the machine.

Suspending and Resuming machines can take up to 1 hour, this will vary based on the GPU type as well as the size of the disk.

Restart

Restarting a VM will perform a hardware-level reboot.
