Quota Management
Each location on the RAIC platform has a default storage quota of 100 TB. This quota is shared across all volumes you create at that location. For example, if you have created volumes totalling 80 TB at a given location, you can create additional volumes up to 20 TB before reaching the quota limit.
How Quota Limits work?
If you attempt to create a volume that would exceed the available quota at a location, the platform will display a notification informing you that the quota has been exhausted. At this point, you will not be able to create additional volumes at that location until quota is freed up (by deleting existing volumes) or additional quota is approved.
Requesting Addional Quota
- When prompted by the quota exhaustion notification, click
Request Quota. - It should direct you to Quotas request page under Settings > Quotas for Volume
- Specify the additional capacity you require at the chosen location for the request.
- Submit the request.
- The requests get reviewed and approved by the RAIC's Admin team.
- You will receive a notification once the request is approved or declined.
- Once approved, the additional quota is immediately available and you can resume creating volumes at the location.
Quota increase requests are typically reviewed within one business day. Plan ahead if you anticipate needing additional storage capacity for upcoming training runs or data ingestion.
